Oh My Manila!

I don’t know if it’s an advantage or not, but being born in Manila do have its downside.

When I was a child I used to envy all my friends during vacation, for they are all bound for their summer getaway at their parents’ provinces. While I get stuck in the four corners of my room, SULKING. In addition to that miserable situation, came the TV shows which feature all the best beaches for their summer episodes. How I hate that my mom and dad both lives in the city.

I have 6 brothers and I am the youngest. Unica hija as what they said, but my Dad almost mistaken me as an “Hijo” before because of my outgoing and brusque personality. My Mom used to call me “B-Y” short for “Batang Yagit”, because I am out all the time.

Meet my son!

At an early age, I experience falling head over heels in love with Carlo, (he might be reading this so no more talk of him!). Franco Gabriel is the product of our almost 10-year relationship. To those who want to know, we are not married. I have a different/distorted view with relationship, commitment and married. But we are happily together and making the best out of what we have.

Having a child is difficult and rewarding at the same time. Difficult because you have to put up with his tantrums and you have to consider him in everything you do. It is rewarding EVERY TIME I see him.

meet the love of my life FRANCO GABRIEL

Travel Bug

When was I hit? I don’t know when, but all I know is that every vacation I yearn to go to different places and I always, always dreamt of riding an airplane. Dream do come true! J

My first travel? I have been to Baguio, Pangasinan, Batangas, Subic, Laguna and other nearby provinces. But it was right after graduation (2007) and I was sort-of-broken-hearted when me and my friends board the bus and RORO to BORACAY! One of the most memorable trip I ever had, the dramas, the views and the company was superb.

Maybe that’s the start of my frustration for traveling, to see beautiful places such as Boracay.

Blogging

As early as 2009, I have tried to blog. But being enslaved by one of the auditing firms in the country hinders me from having a lot of spare time.

By the close of year 2010, I decided to have a career change to a much lighter environment. That is why now, I have time to blog! J

I started this blog, to keep the memories of places I have visited and to somehow inspire other people. As I have been inspired by many travel bloggers.

I know that I can never be like the other travel bloggers where they can go anywhere and anytime they please. But in my own way and time I will experience and see those things too.

As an auditor, I think what I make is enough a little control on the spending and I am good to go.

The need to balance my time and resources as a good mother/provider while pursuing my frustration for travelling is difficult but I always believe that nothing is difficult when you have the determination. J - I have said this line too during interview and it got me the job
