Bohol Series: Balicasag Island

While I am still hyped after our dolphins sighting and our next stop is Balicasag Island. When we docked, I first thought that there's nothing much special with the place because the shore is full of boats and the sand is not that fine. But we are not here to beach bum, I am so looking forward to see the marine sanctuary here plus i brought with me my trusted mares snorkel gear! :)

After docking, we first settled in a nearby cottage and chose our menu for lunch. There are lots of store here offering "paluto" like in seaside market. But it's kinda pricey too. Oh well, we have no choice, since we skipped brekky because of the dolphins.

And also, aside from snorkeling gears there are aqua shoes for rent. We got it for P100 per pax, yeah, it's pricey! But it was originally priced at P150. And imho, you don't need at all. Because the water is kinda high and the corals are not that shallow. But to be safe, go wear one! Haha :)

With the searing heat and sleepiness coming my way, I immediately asked our crew if we can do snorkeling right away. We transferred into a smaller boat and our guide manually paddle our boat to the sanctuary. And then there it was! The so many fishes! I love Balicasag!

And our tour guide was really good, since I can swim a bit he brought me around the area, and I saw some nemo and other colorful fishes. And I also saw the sorta black hole, kinda creepy but cool!

I love it when I saw the sun rays endlessly shine its way through deep black hole, just amazing! :)

  11. Getting surrounded by colorful fishes there has been great experience. To attract more fishes you need to bring plenty of crackers. I've composed my own fictional travel adventure about my experience there. For those who wants to see more underwater pictures you can check the link below.
